If Thou Canst Not Be Poem by james watkin

If Thou Canst Not Be

If thou canst not be
The rain for me;
The soft piling snow
Of doled out woe
And sympathy

Could'st thou instead
Aspect the sun?
A roundness of light
Of cheer forthright;
And sure passion.
