If Violence Must Stop Poem by Aron Lelei

Today is a day to reckon,
A day to reflect and wince.
An overdue date longed for
When the truth must be told and done
Both men and women of value and hearts
Boys and girls alike, to team up for war
Toddlers and fetus to offer God supplications
And together wail for our redemption.

My heart brawls and skin trembles,
From the sight of evil present
Mother earth is vanishing
It is being torn apart by human conflicts
Children are orphaned and maimed
As mothers are widowed and abused,
While animal kingdom is erased
All done, in the name of civilization and democracy.

Men of the earth, men of the universe,
Who will redeem the falling earth!
Who will stand between fate, destiny and vanity!
If the earth must be at peace,
If the earth must face justice,
Then the youth must take up courageous arms
Arms of justice and reconciliation
Join hands and in unison wail against injustice.

War, violence, AIDS scourge and rape
Molestations, gender abuse, terrorism and all evil.
What a disgrace to view their scary sights!
How harshly they mould innocent humans
And send them to their immature death.
That cruel hand of evil so pugnacious,
Groans for thirst of human beings
But peace must be fought for once and for all.

Let all young, old, weak and strong
Rise up with arms to fight irascible violence
Insistently, awake and sure of way forward.
Never again to soften up but wag and yell
Putting aside differences and in unison deride violence
And taking one prowess journey to glory land,
Be innocuous, composed and never quiescent
But take one leap to peace and harmony.
