If We Could Tally Poem by Gary James Smith

If We Could Tally

Rating: 5.0

If We Could Tally

If we could tally up our sin
And consider what it cost
That moved our God to give His Son
As Sacrifice on the cross
And see the debt we owed ourselves
As the wages for our sin
Should it not necessitate the action
To put our trust in Him

How can we live without the Life
The Spirit being our Helper
To recompense back to God
For Jesus being our Shelter
And taking all the wrath for us
The full penalty for our sin
And offering us Himself as Hope
By His glorious Resurrection

Now I tally all the grace
That His Spirit leads me to
So thankful for the so great Salvation
That He's given me hitherto
Great cause have I to celebrate
For I can have victory over sin
Redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb
Because of my faith in Him!
