If We Stop Poem by Marvin Tordillos

If We Stop

If we stop minding
Would it stop the hurt?
Would it make us laugh
Or would it make us numb?

Questions keep running
Inside my head spinning
Fusing and splitting
A nuclear reaction chain of worrying

If we stop thinking
About complicated things
If we gave our hearts a break
Wouldn't it be great?

If we stop, Oh! If we stop
And pull out the hate in our hearts
That ever so brutally wounds us
If we stop? Could we really stop?
