If You Are Caught Up Poem by Raymond Farrell

If You Are Caught Up

If you
Are caught up
By this
Surrealistic drivel
And mindless word play
So much so
You have
Lost touch
With reality
Let me give you
A pick and shovel
And escort you
To a place
Where someone
Will gladly
Acquaint you
With what reality
Is all about
For the vast majority
On this planet
Who slave away
Trying to put
Bread on their tables
After you have been there
You will return
And write something
Worth reading.
