If You Don't Support Free Speech Poem by David Welch

If You Don't Support Free Speech

If you don't support free speech
There's something wrong with you.
If you don't support free speech
You're evil through and through.
If you don't support free speech
Then you can go get screwed.
If you don't support free speech
There's something wrong with you.

Johnny wore a black mask
And carried a long stick.
Say something he didn't like,
He'd swing at you right quick.
Hitting folks at protests
Was his favorite trick,
But then Johnny got arrested,
And deservedly so, the prick!

Zander was invested
In social media concerns.
But some folks posted things
That made his mind burn.
So then claiming virtue
He decided to censor.
Now the internet hates him,
How quickly things do turn.

Lola the English professor
Decided that she knew ‘hate.'
She'd write up any student
Who dared try to debate.
She called such people bigots,
And loudly would berate,
Until a constitutional lawyer
Slapped the 1st into her face.

If you don't support free speech
There's something wrong with you.
If you don't support free speech
You're evil through and through.
If you don't support free speech
Then you can go get screwed.
If you don't support free speech
There's something massively wrong with you.

freedom of speech carries both fundamental limitations and social responsibility - a delicate balance at times which Trump seems to have problems respecting

I think ANTIFA guys throwing fire-crackers and bricks at their opponents probably are having a harder time with the 'respect' part than Trump.
