If You Knew Poem by Alyssa Ray

If You Knew

I'm glad I've got my conscience;
I'm glad I've got my thoughts
Because if you knew
What I was thinking
You may be surprised
You might be shocked
You may be happy
But that's the thing;
If I knew what you were thinking;
It could be the same thing
So, Unless someone says it first;
We sit in silence
Still hinting
Still keeping to ourselves
Only if you knew what I was thinking,
If things could be that simple
