If You Leave Me I Will Die Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

If You Leave Me I Will Die

My love, my heart is bound to you
With every beat, my love stays true
But if you leave, I'll surely die
For you're the light that makes me fly
With every touch, I feel alive
Our love, a fire that'll never die
But if you choose to turn away
My world will crumble, in disarray
You are the air that I breathe
My heart, you have so gracefully seized
But if you walk away from me
My days will be empty, can't you see?
My love, without you I am lost
My soul, by your love, it was crossed
But if you choose to say goodbye
I'll wither away, like flowers dry
I need you like the moon needs the night
My love, with you, everything's right
But if you leave, the darkness will reign
My heart shattered, in endless pain
Please don't leave, my love, don't go
I'll never find another, this I know
For you are my everything, my reason to be
My love, without you, I'll cease to breathe
In your arms, I have found my home
My heart, forever, shall never roam
But if you leave, I'll be just a shell
My love, in your absence, I'll be in hell
So please, my love, don't ever leave
My heart, with you, it'll forever cleave
For without you, I'll surely die
My love, please don't say goodbye.
