If You Must Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

If You Must

If you must

Hey
Wake and stand up
Raise your voice; loudly shout:
“We’ve had it, it is enough.
You forced me into cage…
I have to break bars; not one, all.
I will not just escape, free man remain I.”
Stand up with thought, tongue
Use finger and the fist and the arm
(If you must) .
