If You'Re Up Before The Dawn Poem by Denis McGuire

If You'Re Up Before The Dawn

If you're up before the dawn
You can watch it coming in
As the treetops softly yawn
Waking all the birds within

Glowing in the east you see
It lights the morning sky
'wonder what this day will be
And never wonder why

Softly blows the morning breeze
Blows the new day in with ease
Brisk it be till sun awake
While the birds will softly shake
