If You Think I'll Be The Only Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

If You Think I'll Be The Only

If you think i'll be the only
pretending i'm fine
pretending that I never cared

you've been saying
you would start to do me right
I've been thinking of your promises
it just has not caught life

if it's love that you feel
don't go round breaking my heart
it potentially tears me apart
if there is something on your mind
don't go round making me ask why

if you think i'll be the only
pretending i'm fine
pretending that I never cared

Don't you come back to me
with a new lie to tell
You can expect to hear
words wishing you well

If you know in your heart
this is what you feel
why not walk out the door?
Can't keep at this anymore

how many times have you done me wrong
and I've forgiven you?
If it shall go on any further
then baby, yeah, we are through
