If You Want My Love Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

If You Want My Love

If you expect to be with me
All that's important is that I'm happy
If for any reason I couldn't trust you
Who would I be able to turn to?

If we are to possibly spend eternity
regardless of what you said
Actions must speak louder than words
Or this thing here is dead

If you want my love and I've given you my heart
would you cherish me?
tell me so baby
If I got with you and someday you were untrue,
would you, tell lies to me?
tell me so baby

It serves no real purpose with you being in my life
If all you're going to do is hurt and cause me pain
I've heard it all before, please be honest, let me know the truth
Before I give myself away to you
