Illusion - Poem by Saz Fairy

Confusion, illusion, passion, betrays meant and lust
The five elements of my tale, in this be sure to trust
But in this quest a six sense does exists
The element of love, shrouded in mist

For hidden in this tale is my hope, my thoughts, my story
My plot line is not of true love, or of one seeking glory
But really of my betray meant of another
In a search for happiness, truth and feelings to uncover

For one should be happy with what one does posses
Although I must truthfully confess
I left the one who loved me right though to his soul and core
To find another person, one who could for fill all my needs and more

He wasn’t there when I felt I wanted more
So I found myself a different man, different for any before
Drinking, living, betraying myself to the extremes
I had myself now in a frightful state, it may of seemed

The morning after pain and forgetfulness rang through my head
Woken by a stranger that some how I knew, in strange place, in a strange bed
I knew I had been drunk, and done more than had fun
I was now in a nightmare, I just wanted to run

And through the mist and confusion
it struck my first love that my love could be an illusion
My word he did not trust although they were true
After what I had done, he didn’t believe me when I said “I still love you”

The first man left a after night of passion without him for he now finally saw my flaws
But the one I had know, and never suspected, Help me through tough times, opened all doors
To me he is my night in armour, destined for the army and war
I now see in him things I never knew where there before

Time spent with him, passion and more
But soon after all, he became just a chore
For every women wants one man to serve all her needs
This man all he wanted was for all girls to serve his one need

So left him I did, and now I am alone
But from this experience I know I have grown and learnt new things I have always known
To not always live in passion, and forget to live every moment like its my last
Dance like no one is there, and learn from the past

All I know now is the truth about love
True love is rare, sent from heaven above
Most love isn’t true, but still is a magical lustful infusion
But always remember magic can be an illusion

It is given as good advice that one should live each day as though it were their last.
But why would I wish to remain in bed all day slipping in and out of conciousness! !
    Nice write Saz.
