'I'm Not To Be Disturbed! ' Poem by james watkin

'I'm Not To Be Disturbed! '

One knock, to remind me, one voice
Harsher, louder
Territory of woodpeckers, bears
At a hall's end!

What next? That I, with greater dread
Door to window
Jungle leopards come see, expect?
Ah! Striped cat-friend!
