I'm Still Your Friend Poem by Adams King

I'm Still Your Friend

If we never meet again friend
let this feelings never end
and hold me in your heart

If we never get to see again
before life leaves our body
take our memories to the grave

Always remember my friend
that a friend like me
was once there for you

In our happy but sad departure
I must confess to you
that I will always be there

Though you may not see me
but take me as your shadow
who's there for you when it's dark

When the morning dew drops
they're the tears I shed
whenever I miss you

When the sun shines bright
it's but the smiles I give
whenever I think of you

When you see the moon
remember those lovely nights
how I kept you company

Remember the good times
the beautiful moments we had
and the days we were both sad

I might not have revealed to you
how life without you is incomplete
or how important you're to me

I write to you my friend in tears
and every drop of it is but the ink
I used in writing this poem

I will never forget how sweet
we have always been
and I hope you do the same

I promise to always pray for you
that you find comfort and peace
in your adventure through life

I know we all will cross the bridge
but if you must do so my friend
I pray you die a peaceful death

for it breaks my heart
How time walks so fast
taking us distance apart

There are so many words
I would have loved to say
if I had a chance to see you again

But in all I must say to you
I have loved you and will always do
though sometimes seems otherwise

Please remember me my friend
speak good of me, think of me
and never forget I'm still your friend
