Imagine Poem by Jeremy Williams

Imagine

Imagine for a moment
That your life was just a dream
The illusion is shattering
Reality tearing it at the seams
Imagine if it were you
Lying on the street
No-one to turn to
No place to sleep
Imagine walking down the street
An old man grabs his chest
Draws that last breath
Nobody can save him
Though they try their best
Imagine the world was ending
And you'd left things unsaid
Things that plague your head
Your heart would feel so empty
You'd be all alone
So remember that now is your only chance
To express how it is that you feel
So don't be afraid of those things inside
Sometimes it's harder to hide
Imagine if it all ended today
And you hadn't had your say
Or done it your own way?
