Imitation Poem by Pondering Portrait

Imitation

Rating: 5.0

A feigned scene
A mere pretence
Done before so many times
Does it really mean
It must be done again?

A dead air
Rippling with repetition
Reeking with distress
A polluted resent
Engulfing us all

With the threat of oblivion
And reason long forgotten
Can we ever break free
Does the courage exist
To save us all?
