Withered pain
Torn out thoughts
Refusal to embrace
The threads of destiny

Fragments of regret
And burning desire
A lethal combination
A concoction
To devour the soul

A creeping conscience
An inaudible whisper
Drowned by the hoardings
Of selfish temptation

A monster bred
By the calloused
Hands of evil
Unknowingly
By one’s own
