Immortal Music Poem by Faith Udoh

Immortal Music

Rating: 1.0

I heard the music as I entered the room,
But all that was there was a violin,
Laying helplessly on its back on the floor.

I listened again.
The only sound heard was that of silence.
I stared into the blank space wondering if I had gone crazy.

But then...
A deafening sound hit my eardrums from a different direction.
It was the music again!

Still, the violin had not moved an inch.
It was stuck in the woods..
I am yet to find out where the music came from
