The boisterous nights are gone
With empty streets laughing at us
As night life is no more
Even the day is not spared
Across the width of land is fear
As the masses scamper early to their homes
Uncertain the direction of the next bullet
The town is under brutal siege
Of both the uniformed and non-uniformed
Contracted in the name of safety
The protectors have become the predators
Terminating young innocent lives too early
As parents abominably bury their children
The innocence of the state is raped
The peace and tranquility is lost
And no thanks to the leaders of our time.
