The Beauty Of Death Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Beauty Of Death

Rating: 4.8

I reason death in its glorious beauty
Like golden evening cloud
On a bright sunny day

I think of death in its peaceful silence
Like "Otamiri" river
purling in moon-lit night

I ruminate death in its soulful rest
Devoid of dust
Like cool gentle evening breeze

I look toward death then
When the task is over
Much more toward
When satisfactorily accomplished

To wash my sticky hide of labour
In transparent river "Otamiri"
My frayed nerves calmed
In cool evening breeze

To take the deserved rest
In peaceful clouds of heaven
My portion of the Father
And Son through death.

A refreshing outlook on death. If my near death experience is any indication of what the afterlife is like, we're all in for an AWESOME adventure. Kingsley, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

well crafted, sometimes i think about living a life of no death, to me I know it would be boring, but death is a like a moderator of life thanks
