Impediments To Lovers Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Impediments To Lovers

Leaving all the arts and science aside
I rushed to meet you ignoring my hide.
An ocean of passion ebbed and flew in me
but not ev’n in dreams, ”I love you”, I cried.
No man built dam could stop your pretty smiles
when I took all the dangers in my stride.
When you couldn’t travel with me on my bike
you wafted up with me for an aerial ride.
No hurdles or muddles could break our speed
as we had the presence of the gods beside.
When we parted due to unforeseen fate,
there weren’t cells our whereabouts to confide.
But ‘Surprise Meets’ happened in places strange
to keep our hearts beating, due to Him, our Guide.
