Impossibility Poem by Samantha McKinnon

Impossibility

He recalls the sad beauty of their symphony,
And though it will mean death
He swims in her diamond blue sea,
Still madly in love with her.
Frantically the girl runs away and never says why
They cannot live as one as she dreamed.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Can't name people except I am the girl.
One thing I want to
Remind you of is
Even though we aren't together
You're my love.
