Impossible Dream Poem by Edwina Reizer

Impossible Dream

You plan. You conceive. You dream
and keep your hopes up high.
You never give in to the feeling of failure
not until you die.

For what is life without a dream?
It’s empty and it’s endless.
It’s a look into the future of nothing
over which you will confess

“If I had it to do over again
Would I be able to change? ”
That is hard to answer as you think back
because you can’t arrange

anything that was planned by you
before you ever got here?
Even though you can’t remember
what you have planned will always appear.
