In A Hurry Poem by Dorsey Baker

In A Hurry

Fear! Wells up
In my fragile mind
When I watch
all the cars
And all the people
How fast!
They are moving

Always traveling
At breakneck! Speed
It's like we are
Racing with one another
To get to the finish line

A river of demons
In the water
Watching with
Greedy eyes
Waiting for somebody
To slip and fall in!
Where they drown
In the murky darkness of despair!

People moving around
Trying to get from
One place to another
In a very big hurry!
Seems like we are
Busy trying to
Outrun father time!
