In A Perfect World Poem by Donald Templar

In A Perfect World

In a perfect World, Your character determines your worth.
And you are not judged by your color, or the status of your birth.

We would limit the use of fossil fuels, and use solar and wind energy.
Children would receive true education, and have more respect for the elderly.

We would have a sanity test, for policemen and politicians.
And anyone wanting an assult rifle, would have to submit a petition.

The Teacher would sing their lessons, subjects are taught in poetry.
We would have a BUTTON to push! that makes our keys and wallet ring.

Everyone would serve threir Country in some manor for two years.
Restaurant work would be taught in High School, including the job of cashier.

All the freedoms that we enjoy, Comes with responsibilitys.
Everybody shall contribute, In our community.

Education and healthcare, shall be a right for all.
With equal funding for music and the arts, As we do for Pro Football.
