In A Religion Poem by Randy McClave

In A Religion

Some of y'all didn't try God
Y'all tried Church instead,
And then when the church 'hurt'
You became offended from what others said,
You then found out thar Liars, false and fake people
Also go to the same church as well,
And you didn't like how they looked at you
They too were all heading to hell,
You didn't liked how some dressed
Or even how they looked,
You didn't like some of their dialect
By them you felt you were rooked,
You knew that you were better off than some
And others were better off than many,
Some had gold and fancy jewelry
While a few didn't even have a penny,
You listened to the confessions and the prayers
And also to the many praises,
And not once were you speaking or praying
They all came from many different phases,
Then you heard and listen to them talk
About the sorrow and the forgiveness of their sin,
And how they all sought forgiveness
With just a simple, "Amen",
You concluded that God isn't real
And maybe that Christianity is just a joke,
So, that day you just walked away
Never again to them have you ever spoke,
If from God anyone ever walks always
Whether it be in miles or even just a smidgeon,
Then you were never in a relationship with him
You were just in a religion.
