In A World Where Millions Of Poems Poem by Francis Duggan

In A World Where Millions Of Poems

In a World where millions of poems are being penned every day
And words are being used in every sort of a way
And on any one subject few seem to agree
That us humans are complex it does seem to me
The literary critics are paid to criticize
Though few of them ever win a literary prize
But by their very words they do drag some writers down
And by their praises help others to literary renown
Most poets, playwrites and novelists dream of wealth and fame
But at the end of life's journey for all it is same
In a World where thousands of plays and novels are written every hour
For many authors their dreams of acclaim turn sour
The successful writers of the World are few
As many do tell us tell us something new.
