In An Abandoned World Poem by Abubakar Mohammed Musa

In An Abandoned World

Rating: 5.0

Living in an abandoned world,
Never seen a care in this world,
Nothing yet achieved wholly,
Abandoned and living helplessly,
Everyday expecting a good day,
But never ever sighted this good day,
With schools on papers?
With designed hospitals on papers?
With false impression to security?
Wiped sixth decades of instability
Of survival needs,
Qualitative education,
Degradation of corruption,
Everywhere under starvation,
No enough basic needs.

In this abandoned world,
How will a chicken lay eggs
With an obstacles before it?
How will I laugh with a stuck
Steel knife in my throat?
How will a bird fly with
Burned wings,
Why will I ring bell onto my
Friend who is having headache?
How will I bring singing speakers
To the burial site of my mother?
How will an orphan rejoice
The spending of his father's money
At a party?
How will it happened that a pinched
Baby will smile at an absence of its mother?
How will it happened that a hanging neck
That is in between two gallows to laugh?
So why will I celebrate for my abandoned world
That could never create a ''Pin''?
''A chirping bird only chirps
When it has enough food and water in its stomach.''
