In Another Man's Land Poem by Ojoo Isaac

In Another Man's Land

In another man's land

Whom shall we call when we are sick?
In another man's land,
Who shall feed us when we are hungry?
In another man's land,
If we are in trouble whom shall we run to?
In another man's land,
No mother No father No family
Just God and us.
It is not our wish to meander in another man's land.
Situations placed us in that position on the field of life.
We have become like chicks, should the rain beat us, whose warmth shall dry us if not that of God?
But as men, it's a battle we live to fight
Each day and it's worth fighting today.
Sometimes we sedate our confusions and tears,
But we cant avoid them.
In another man's land, there are mines of uncertainties.
Dear God, keep us safe as we take good care of ourselves.
Help us keep our hopes inflated in another man's land.
And protect the mouths back home,
That are opened, waiting we drop bread into them. Though we hide the pain to show the smile, we just know it is so in another man's land..
