In Another Place And Time - Poem by Rebecca Wiles

In another place and time,
we could have been lovers.
In another place and time,
we could have been friends.
But instead we cross paths,
every once in awhile,
in a place and time that never
seems to end.

In another place and time,
we might have laughed and danced.
In another place and time,
we might have had half a chance.
But we are like two dreamers,
who pass within the night,
in another place and time
who knows what might have been!

Good poem! I liked the title and it was well penned. Very thought provoking. There are a lot of 'what if's' that occupy my mind too. But I think many times unfortunately, what's done is done. All we can do is move on.
