In Batley and Spen,
New Labour barely survived.
Because, yet again,
It failed to listen to the
People. It assumed
That it could count on their vote.
Although it sneaked through,
In a ' democratic' manner
By way of tearing down
Some opponent's posters,
Understandby so
Critics request a recount.
Perhaps its leader,
That popinjay, Keir Starmer,
Will humbly reflect
And now learn lessons, although
I very much doubt
That will happen, because he
Is so out of touch.
So much for the re-branding!
