In Between The Lines Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

In Between The Lines

I see you hiding there,
In between the after-glow,
Between yes and no,
Between the lines of the poem,
Between the lines in our love song,
With its mellow tone;
You scared to the bone, hiding
On the down beat, in between the
Lines where the eyes have no expression.
