In Death I Saw The Light Poem by Ray Hansell

In Death I Saw The Light

I heard the angels singing
On that dark and lonely night
When suddenly the night was split
By bright beatiful lights

I watched them as they traveled
From high above the night
I knew when I saw them
That I would be alright

I felt my soul rising
From where I lay on the bed
I guess it was official
That I am now dead

It was a most beautiful thing
In a tunnel filled with light
But I knew that from then on
I would always be alright

So, now in my final resting place
I'm as comfortable as can be
But I have to say
When alive, life was good to me
