In Everything Say The Word Poem by Sarah Mkhonza

In Everything Say The Word

One word waits on the balance,
wanting to seel of you say,
The truth binds it in one way,
for not to say it is to say nay,
for it seals every deal.

The word love lives and sees,
its power in ways expressed,
and waits to let you say it,
in your own ways of doing.

It waits now unsaid unsung,
for nobody can touch its tail,
yet its head in in your head,
for you want it to be said to you.

To give love is to give gifts,
some intangible or even untouchable.
It waits for you to work harder,
and catch it by its neck,
for yours also has to bow,
when bows shoot straight and miss,
just the center of who you are.
