In My Arms Poem by Courtney Redmond

In My Arms

You belong here
In my arms
Not in hers

You told everybody how much you wanted me
And how much I made you happy,
But then you turned around
And went to her
I don’t know what I did to lose you
I was just me
But I guess me wasn’t enough to keep you here

I can’t believe that you left
I guess I was not enough for you
I couldn’t give my all to you
Nor could I give you my virginity
Maybe cause I wouldn’t sleep with you is why you left

Love was all I gave
But the love of two bodies together in one bed
Is more then ones heart?
If you ever wish to be with me
I can’t say I would accept you
You would have to earn my heart again
Even though you’ve had it
Since the day you entered my arms
