In My Head In My Head I Was Writing Poem by Terence George Craddock

In My Head In My Head I Was Writing

to quote
the infamous
character

Forrest Gump

''from that day on
if I was going anywhere
I was running''

why well who can tell
for no particular reason

a poet may have a similar epitome moment

''if I was going anywhere I was writing''

you might not know it
you might not think it
you might not see it
but I was writing

there might have been long gaps
no posting but I was writing
in my head in my head I was writing

I was writing

poems were always in the head
I may not have always written them out
I may have let a thousand or more go but I was writing

write write write write write...

poems written in the head
you cannot read
but I was writing

poems written in the head
you cannot access
but I was writing

poems written in the head
you cannot know
but I was writing

writing poems I was
running running
against the wind

writing poems I was
running running
against time

writing poems I was
running running
against eternity

to leave but a few short thoughts
behind for no particular reason

to leave
but a few
short thoughts

behind
for no
particular reason

you might not know it
you might not think it

you might not see it
but I was writing... I was writing
