In My Heart - Poem by Insaf Jaleel

In my heart, there is an angel.
In your heart, there is an angel.
So beautiful is this angel that if you saw it
You would cry in fright and love for it.
You would be terrified of its openness.
Of its innocence.
You cannot tear your flesh and rend your bone
To remove the nurturing hurt of this
Half-angel creature.
The other half is doubt of existence.
We were never existing before
Our births.
Does that mean we never
Never had been?
The wrenching of my skull.
The putrid heartache.
It is the angel trying to get out.
We are waiting for this angel
For the moment. That moment
No human entity has any meaning/gleaning.
Their hearts are only your heart.
You feeeeel their heaviness.
I burn of heartache.
