In My Own Hands Poem by Leo Lopes

In My Own Hands

Rating: 5.0

In my own hands
where happiness lies
like a baby's grip
holding on for my love that never dies
There's no hand out
the baby slips...
A single tear will flood the eyes
of those who never tried
Suicide
How can they feel my pain if they never cry?
...But tomorrow will bring sorrow
like i promised
Although inside my heart is hollow
...From deep within is a curse that never dies

The imagry in this poem is AMAZING! There's no hand out the baby slips... that line in particular hit me. I don't exactly know why, but it did. Wonderful write, Leo. And the title is very intreging.[sp? ] Thank you Gabriela
