In Nando Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

In Nando

In Nando

I was there for pick up
It wasn't just my job
There used eyes
All over and
Saw well
I guess
So…

Sat on chair and waited
Facing bar and people
And kitchen in front
Very much in open
Fryers and cookers
And the cooks and helpers
Chicken legs and brush of spice
And the rush and orders and tickets
And servers and serving customers and
Eating and eaters; everything that was served.

'Hey people watch yourselves I am not simple man but poet…'
Remained in, deep down as if was spy in MOSAD, KGB, CIA.

And I watched and observed and enjoyed even girls who were
Deep in make-up and on show
Lips deep red and cheeks rose
Clothes tight, parts exposed to
Be seen for our joy, even butts
In the jeans and far more…
