In Our Mountaintop Stay Poem by james watkin

In Our Mountaintop Stay

Every vista, from our door
Four or five steps out
With the eye, as steep will drop
Awe's accustomed shout!

Eagle's exhilirations!
In pitch, trailing who
Fiercer clawed, rock-spilt cascades'
Fish floppings dive through.
