In Past Times Poem by Joyce Hemsley

In Past Times

Heaven lingered for a while
Endless loving with a smile,
Crimson the roses, bright the snow
Romantic words flowed 'long ago'
Rapture and joy came with each kiss
In a world of ruby wedding bliss.

*Ah, but let me reminisce*
A wild gale blew one Christmastime
Plans that were made just turned to dust.
No need to philosophize or theorize
Something so sad brought tears to the eyes
One Christmas Day under 'long ago' skies.
