In The Air Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

In The Air

Rating: 3.0

In the air
There is a humming-top
That slowly hums
And breaks the silence.

In the air to-night
There is a whiff of salt
Coming from the restless sea
And a humming
That breaks the silence.

A coppice small of olden trees
Watched down
And dreamed and dreamed:
The sea below shone silvery
And the moon smiled.
