Life is a mere speck
in the eons of time.
It begins and is over
almost in the blink of an eye.
Each day we must treasure
as if it is to be our last,
appreciate everything
that surrounds us as we wake.
Enjoy the company of our friends
and every bit of our lives.
We are given but one chance,
best we make the most of it
every second that we can.
