In The Darkness Poem by Charlotte Rains

In The Darkness

Rating: 5.0

All is quiet around me
Reflecting in the silence
The stillness begins to speak
I'm lost in the memories
Reflecting in the silence
The walls are closing in
I'm lost in the memories
I bow my head to pray
The walls are closing in
Emptiness fills my heart
I bow my head to pray
Darkness lingers on
Emptiness fills my heart
I can not see the light
Darkness lingers on
I'm helpless to the night
I can not see the light
Its face no longer shines
I'm helpless to the night
I hold my breath and wait
Its face no longer shines
It can not guide my path
I hold my breath and wait
Praying for day to come
Every night's the same
The stillness begins to speak
Sitting in the darkness
All is quiet around me
