In The Loneliness/Of My Own Would-Be Greatness Poem by Shalom Freedman

In The Loneliness/Of My Own Would-Be Greatness

In the loneliness
Of my own greatness
I sing my song unheard
And wonder why
I have never reached
That writing of my memories
The telling of my story
The beauty of those words
Which might have made
Those I love and lost
Immortal
If only in Literature.
