In The Middle Of The Night - Poem by Sheena Blackhall

In the middle of the night
Hear the fretful feet of vole
Fox has put a crimson sash
In the velvet side of mole.

In the middle of the night
See two claws unpick a mouse
Night-fall owl has put a tear
In the side of her brown blouse.
