In The Moyne Shire To Many Poem by Francis Duggan

In The Moyne Shire To Many

In the Moyne Shire to many mine is a stranger's face
But i feel at home in this beautiful place
At most times of year the coastal lands look green
As fine as the finest beauty i have seen

The flutes of the magpies i hear every day
Though not financially wealthy i feel lucky in another way
In that i do live where natural beauty abound
Every day Nature at her finest is everywhere around

The green countryside stretching to the Pacific shore
To live amongst such beauty who could ask for more
I have good memories of beautiful places i have known
But the Moyne shire with any of them could hold it's own

In the Moyne Shire to many a stranger i may may be
But this beautiful place does feel like home to me
Every day of of the year i can hear the pee wee
And in the coastal lands there is great beauty to see.
