In The Past Poem by DANIEL ESSIEN

In The Past

IN THE PAST

in past I was in the fallen Eden
Enjoying the nature of the fallen Adam
I was man by nature of nature
I enjoyed it with no guilt or conscience...
I was a man by nature of nature.
I lived this way all the way.
I was a natural man by nature.
The sermon that day was
'Will you continue in this that grace remain? '
'Know this', Abioye said 'grace take not place of justice'.
With this I made a choice...
To turn heading hell to move heaven's-ward.
A decision only the wise make.
I quit being the me that smoke,
The me that fornicate,
The me that drinks
And the me that hate, castigate, abuse and do the will of Satan.
From that date in twenty zero two,
The me that love for real, care with honesty,
Strife for purity and hunger for eternity...
The me that seek heaven's will
Turning many to heaven's hill.
I love the me I am.
My choice was right,
Have you made yours?
It not late....
Do it now.
I love the me I am now.

Peace
