In The Person Of My Saviour Poem by Gary James Smith

In The Person Of My Saviour

Rating: 5.0

In The Person of my Saviour

In the person of my Saviour
I have found my sweetest rest
As I've learned to cast my every care on Him
He's an ever present Friend
Who has never failedme yet
His love has brought me such a great Salvation

And still, still the wonder of it all
The Spirit's filling power
God revealed in Christ what Deity!
The written and the living Word
Appearing in human flesh
He was definitely with us glory be!

How sweet it is to trust in Jesus
For all of life's complications
Not a sin but that He was tempted too
Yet remained He faithful loving
The sinner but not the sin
His Resurrection power can see you through

Yes that deep, deep love of Jesus
Penetrating all we are
Sustenance with never endinggrace
Hallelujah for the Cross of Christ
Lord I lift You up
Praise God one day I'll see Thee face to face!
